I just wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you for the professional job you did on the front porch overhang in the front of my house.  This overhang was pulling away from the house and I fully expected that it would need to be torn down and rebuilt.  You gave me a quote for this service that was more than reasonable.  Once you started the job you found a way to save the existing structure and save me $350 from you original quote.  You were able to repair the structure and apply cosmetic touches that have made the overhang look new.  It was a pleasant surprise to not have to apply any finishing touches myself, nor did I have to do any cleanup.  I can see why you were highly recommended to me.  If I have any future jobs I will definitely give you a call.  Again, thank you for your professional services.  Please do not hesitate to use me as a reference for any of you future clients.  You can add this letter to your portfolio or I would be more than happy to act as a reference on your behalf.
